My grandad henry playle was in the london rifles brigade 2nd battalion he fought in the middle east and italy he was made a
sargent in the field
"AS ALL THE N.C.O KEPT GETTING SHOT FIRST"
as it happend he also got shot in the leg at the gothic line in italy his brother reg also in the line found out he had been shot from there mum and asked if he could go find him HQ agreed he could but he only had 7 days in which to do so reg found him in hospital in naples he would proudly show of his bullet wonnd in his leg to us grandkids and tell us of his
war storys sadly grandad died so time a go but it would be nice to hear from anyone who knew him you can contact me.
