As a young lad during WW2.I was always looking for souvenirs of the war. After a very heavy air raid the night before,my pal and i went up the hill behind our house to look for souvenirs,we came across the remains of a german bomber that had crashed in a field. We found a large piece of metal sticking out of the ground,we began to pull on it to move it but it would not move. After a while we decided to go and report our find. My friends father was a air raid warden so we told him,he said we would go back up to the crash site the next day.We arrived at the crash site and found a very large crater where we had been standing. So iam very lucky to be able to tell this story.
