My sister had to decide where evacuees went. People often resented having them.People were told how many children they had to have. Many children had lice. When I was 18 I worked in a bra factory. At I was told to work in a aircraft factory. It was two buses there and two back.I was up at six thirty every day. I didn't like it at all. I was making ribs of spitfires using a machine called a jig.If you made enough in a certain time , you could get a bonus.
