"Don't let Skippy Out!"
Those were the first thing I knew about the impending second world war.
The above statement seems quite an unusual one when I think back but we soon realised that things were not to be the same again.
I was 16 years old and everything was about to change. As an industrial sewing machinist I was conscripted to war work at Bristol Aircraft bomber machines based in Clayton-Le-Moors day and night shifts.
