I was living in Maidstone, I was about seven.
We was a St Michaels School in Maidstone. One morning a bomb dropped in Tovil on the railway sidings. The teacher, Miss Fielding, stood up, put her arms out and said "Come to me." We all went under the teacher's table. I liked her, but she's gone now.
I was frightened; it was a loud bang, but she calmed us down.
