it starts in the pacific ocean my grandad anothony was in his bunk when the alarm sound on the ship he was on the HMS cumberland,to go to action sations.
so my grandad rashed to his sation but the ship was hit by enermy fire and bloked rote.
My grandads best friend stepped in and the gun he was at got hit by enermy fire.
If it wasnt for my grandads friend bertty i won't be here and won't be telling u this story.
you can find bettys name on the memorianl at chaten dork yards but not under the name bertty you will find him under the name basley gibbs thats the story of my grandad and his best friend berty
