“I was reading in my room when my mum called up to me to go and look out the window, there was a group of tanks rumbling down our street! I had thought that tanks destroyed road surfaces but my mum told me later that was only if they used the road frequently. This must have been a singular event as I never saw any more tanks on our road but I did see a squadron of planes a few hours later flying overhead. The strange thing that I remembered about the tanks is there were flames issuing from the exhaust; I never found out the reason for this.â€
