EFC Matthews would have been my uncle. I have been researching information for this site for over 2 years now. The site has information regarding his RAF and RAFVR service. He was a Flight Engineer on 2 Halifaxes JD203 and JD310
both from 78 Sqdn No.4 bomb group based at Breighton.
JD310 failed to return from Berlin 23rd/24th August 1943. There was one survivor, V.A.Robbins.
