Dads workroom under clock. Lads playing bingo in lift well. HMS Eagle
My late dad served in the RAF during WW2. His job, as a Fabric Worker, was to patch up the Aircraft, Swordfish etc. He had a posting to HMS Eagle for a couple of years. One of his favorite stories was when the Navy lads had their tot ration dad was'nt entitled so, every now and then a few of the lads would get their tot and give it to dad. The trouble was sometimes he would get three or four tots at a time. He would struggle back to his workroom and just make it to his bench, roll onto it and fall asleep for a couple of hours.
