My early memories of my Dad are of him calling out in his sleep most nights. In recent years I have realised the cause of these outbursts. He served with the 8th Army in North Africa and then in Italy. He saw so many horrors that their pictures haunted his sleep almost every night. It was when he found The Italy Star Association that his nightmares were put to rest. He was able to talk with others that had seen the same atrocities he had, and move on. He has now passed away, but i will be forever grateful to those members of the Italy Star Association who made my Dad's last few years more restful.
