I worked in the County Architechts Department for the local council, at St. Mary's Gate in Derby. 1 night in 8 we would have to be on duty and sleep on a camp bed in the basement and plot German planes as they flew across the county. I was young at the time and didn't really understand the dangers that came with the war.
