I was looking out of the bedroom window, with my brother and sister, watching the planes turn round for another run at the Eyebrook Reservoir Dam. Our house is just 4 fields from the Dam. The planes flew on moonlit nights and flew very low, so low that you could see the faces of the pilot and crew and nearly inside the cockpit when they flew. There were normally 3 planes that flew for about ½ and hour making runs over the Reservoir, which came almost every night for about a month. After a while, we saw lights underneath the Lancasters and my brother and I saw a target (a big semi-circle) was on the dam wall of the Eyebrook Reservoir.
