I remember being called up in June/July 1942 I think. I was in a battalion of The Buffs. We went to France, but nothing extraordinary happened. I was in France for VE Day, but I don't remember much about it.

What buffs battalion were you in? What regiment did you go to france with?
I am researching the 8th battalion The Buffs which went to France in 1944 after conversion to the 9th Medium Regiment RA.
