This story was submitted to the People’s War website by Daniel, a pupil from Teversham Primary School on behalf of Ron Hill and has been added to the site with his permission. He fully understands the site’s terms and conditions.

The London Blitz was started by accident. A German plane dropped his bombs not noticing where he was dropping them. He destroyed the docks and warehouses and everything caught fire. It took them seven days to put the fire out properly. Once they had put out the fire in one part of the docks another part soon caught fire. They bombed the docked for six months. Now there are no docks where there used to be in London.
