During the war I was in the Navy on HMS Artifex.
Once I went to a dance at Dunbarton and there I met Janet. But when I was on duty my friend was off duty and he was seeing Janet too!
When I found out I ignored her on the bus where she was a clippy. Then my friend married her and moved to New Zealand.
They both came to visit us here six years ago. It was nice to see them again. I didn't hold a grudge and I soon picked up with someone else.
