At the Salines they were digging foxholes, this was probably near the invasion time I suppose, and this young soldier, having a tea break I suppose, showed us his rifle and we were allowed to handle his rifle, and I thought, â€œThis is heavy, I wouldnâ€™t like to carry this thing around all day!â€
