My Dad was born & grew up in Chesterfield Derbyshire,is name was Peter Wood.everyone called Him Woody,He worked in the Mines in our Area until he was called up to go in the Army!all i know from my relations etc is that was a Desert Rat in the 8TH Army during the snd world war.He was in North Africa eg:Elalamein,Tobruk Egypt etc.Iwas told by Him he used to drive a petrol tanker,His nickname was Woody,Iam sorry to say he passed away several years ago at the age of 81,He worked at Silverhill Pitt after the War!in Nottinghamshire,I would be most grateful if anyone out there or knows of anyone with pics etc of my Dad.
