This story was submitted to the Peoples War site by Michelle Bradshaw of Hugh Baird on behalf of Florie True.
I sent my husband a lighter, when he was in Italy, which I had engraved with “with love to Frank from Florie” along time after he was in Italy and this man offered him a cigarette and frank asked the man if he could look at his lighter and it turned out to be the lighter he lost. The amazing thing is that Frank had lost it when he was on the other side of Italy.
