I made a shower out of a wood ammunition box. The bottom was the shower tray. The four posts were cut from the pine trees in the forest. The top of the ammunition box was then placed on top of the four posts. I tied an army blanket round to act as a curtain. I used a jerry can which was placed on the top. A water pipe with a garden rose spray that I found was also used.

The jerry can was first filled with water and heated over a fire. Most of the men and officers used my shower. Until one day we were advancing and my shower fell out of the back of the truck. And there it was lost for ever. Unfortunatley it was too dangerous to stop to pick it up again. Good while it lasted!
