Family legend has it, that my father, William (Billy) Donald, was missing in action, but infact made his way with a small group of men to either the south of France or Switzerland and from there made good there escape back to the UK.
If anyone reading this could enlighten me further and or have simular family stories that might follow a simular path, please contact me, I would love to learn more about the exploits of my fathers war, I am aware he also served in north africa and italy.
