This photograph was taken at the Rimini Barracks outside Turin. Geoff Woodcock (from St Martins, Oswestry)is on the right and I, reg Bowyer, am on the left.
We held up the FIAT motor factory in Italy one day- just outside Turin. They were tipped to have been making illegal arms for the Communist Party.
I jumped out of the back of the truck and held them all up with a tommy gun!
This photograph was submitted to the People’s War site by Becky Barugh of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Shropshire CSV Action Desk on behalf of Reg Bowyer and has been added to the site with his permission. Mr Bowyer fully understands the site's terms and conditions.
