"This story was submitted to the People's War site by CSV/ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Nottingham on behalf of Dennis Griffin with his permission. The author fully understands the site's terms and conditions."

Grace enlisted in the ATS and was given training with an ACK ACK team. Trained as a predictor - a person who determined where the enemy plane was at a given time - an important job. She was posted to Wales with the ACK ACK. The night finally arrived when they were called into action.
Due to her correct predicting, her team brought down two enemy planes. The next day in the local, they were greeted with "What sort of horrible racket was that last night!", when they explained and they realized who they were and what they did, they were immediately given lots of drinks and cheers !
