my nannys youngest brother wesley had joined the 1st bn suffolk regiment, he was in belgium with the bef, may 1940, i do not know the exact details but on 29th may 1940 he was killed along with other members of the regiment, i never knew my gt. uncle, but my nanny along with other members of the Tye family named their children after wesley, he was 19 years old, he lays in peace now in a church yard in zuidschote, i am hoping this year to visit the grave, it was always my nannys wish to place some flowers on his grave but unfortunately she never got to visit belgium, so i shall on behalf of the Tye and Jervis family have great honour in placing the flowers on my gt. uncle wesleys grave.
