My Dad ended up driving a tank into the town of Brunssum, Holland to help liberate the place. He and his tropp were then billetted there for a while, during which time they had the privilege of sharing the home of the family Peters. There were 6 unmarried daughters, Annie, Jo, amongst them and one young son Fritz. Does anyone out there remember this family. I have met them back in the 80s and Mama Peters died at the grand old age of 102.

I will write more here soon, I have Dad's diary of action going thro' France and Belgium.

He became Major Lee and ended his war in Hamburg where he stayed for an additional period of time after the peace came.
