I must admit I enjoyed the war years enormously.
I was able to do jobs that normally women were not allowed to do or society didn't accept that women do.
I loved my job as a bus conductress on the local bus company the PMT.
I was on routes which took me to Newcastle, Stoke and Eccleshall.
