159 Sweetheart letters written between 1940 when Reg Ward of Carsington, Derbyshire was called up and 1944 when he was killed in action at the Garigliano crossing in Italy. Also 18 photos to go with this fascinating and very moving story. All the letters and photos have been collected together on the following URL by the webmaster John Palmer with the permission of the sweetheart Joanna Stevenson who has kept the letters for 60 years:
