The Battle of Britain is over I am posted to Wittering. Early 1940 I volunteered to go to Rugby and I attended a course in Sound Projection. Someone came up with the idea of the need for a cinema so I was given the task of developing the idea. We returned lorry loads of seating and projectors from bombed cinemas in London. We made a cinema with two projectors and about 400 tip up seats. The favourite film was Henry 8th and his Wives.
