I live in Dover and we all slept in caves. At night we carried our bedding there and slept in bunks. They kept all neighbours together.
One night a Bomb landed just outside the cave and we were all blown out of our bunks, as far as I know no one was seriously hurt although some had minor cuts and bruises.
