Lillian Beale in the Austin 20 in which she drove during WW2.
I was Brigadier Hordern’s driver for 4 years at the Military College of Science, Stoke-On-Trent. My duties were to drive him to various parts of the College which were scattered around the Potteries. At first I was billeted in private digs. The landlady was fantastic, and then we were situated in barracks in Stoke-on-Trent.
