After the fall of France, the only part of the British Isles to be occupied by the Germans was the Channel Islands.
Arlene Du Pont was a receptionist at the Britannia Hotel in Jersey.The Germans drove up the main street in their military vehicles, drew to a violent halt outside, and marched into the hotel mob-handed.
