My other great great uncle was also in the war but fought against a German submarine off the coast of Africa. He was a chief engineer and was involved in a ten day battle. He was on a piece of machinery, which I don't know was called. He stayed on it for the whole battle without any sleep. When they returned to Greece he couldn't move because his body had locked up from the tension. The crew had to take him off the submarine on his chair on to the land. He also won a medal and died at the age of 93 two years ago.
