My story is about my experiances following my induction into the army at the outbreak of the 2nd World War.

It covers five separate phases.
1. My first embodiment from the TA into the regular army, and the preparation for service in the British Expeditionary Force in 1939.
2. Service in France until and including evacuation from Dunkirk.
3. Preparation for and involvement in the 1st. Army Landings in N.Africa.
4. My evacuation by hospital ship back to the U.K. and subsequent rehabilitation.
5. My service in India and eventual demobilisation, in 1945.
