My Dear Mum and Dad
Just a line hoping you are all well and happy. I am still in the pink and enjoying life I hope you have had my letters pretty regular I write every week sometimes oftener that’s all I can manage, I’m glad Pop is O.K. and still busy I hope he got my letter (HA HA). Yes Moth I’m certainly getting round I never thought I’d see this much but I would sooner be home, they can have there bananas, so Phyllis doesn’t call around to see you very often. I haven’t heard from her for quite some time I’ve had a good few Air Mails from you. Thanks very much for the P.O. very handy indeed Pop was right about the Mc wasn’t he all he said has proved correct I’m glad you are going there though it’s company for you isn’t it, do you go often when you go next give them all my kindest Regards. Billy Mc and Albert send there Regards Albert fell today and sprained his wrist he’s going to the hospital tomorrow to see what is really wrong with it I think he’s having an x-ray. I was very surprised to hear May is going to have a baby is she out of the W.A.A.F.S now. I will be glad to get one of our Edds photographs, I haven’t got one of him at all. I bet he’s getting big now, I bet Johnny May is sorry he got married his wife isn’t going to be much good to him is she I don’t like a lot of fuss at weddings do you. Phyllis seems to be a lot of company for you doesn’t she, don’t bother with them at all I wouldn’t if I was you. The news is very good isn’t it I think the war will be over this year.
I haven’t heard from the Johnsons since Xmas I hope I didn’t offend them in any way while I was home I’ve written to Betty a couple of times, does she ever say anything to you when she calls in. The weather is still very hot here what is it like at home I hope its O.K. Have you seen Mrs McArdle at all she has written to me a couple of times I sent her a Callender for Xmas. And she seems to like it very much. I have not heard from my Mate Ted who wrote to you he’s a good chap Moth I would like you to meet hik sometime Stan and Olive seem to be doing OK for leave good luck to them if they can get it. Will you send both there addresses to me I had Stans but I have mislaid it somewhere. Well Sweet I will have to close now give my Regards to all at 80,87 Tom and Mrs Picklers Good Night and God Bless Im always thinking of you all keep on saving the old egg Ill eat it when I finaly get home,
