Whilst at school at Roundhill College, I remeber the first arrival of American troops. This was the first time I had seen black Americans. They were going to Stoughton Air Field, in preparation for the attack on Arnham.
Funnily enough, close to our school was a factory that munfactured parts for the Auster aircraft, the assembly for which, occurred at the airfield at Queniborough.
