On April 19th 1941 we were bombed out. An aerieal mine exploded and brought the house down on my mother, father and myself. We were all OK but the mine killed ARP warden across the road. When we were rescuded we were covered in white plaster dust. We went toeh end of the road and asked a motorist to take us to the cemetary. My friend lived opposite the cemetary gates. I stayed the rest ofthe night thre. At first light we went back to find our dog
