Tom MILLBURN is my grandfather who is still alive today. He has many stories of the war in africa where he served in El Alamein and in Tobruk in 1941.
He has a fantastic memory of many events including dates,,places and names. One of the most significant things he recalls is the fact that in 1941 there were only 3 Coldstream guardsmen fighting in Tobruk at the time. Major Disellers,,guardsman Madge and himself.
Whilst I appreciate that this is only a tiny piece of history this old soldier is a mine of information for any historian seeking answers to questions.
