The day the war was over, tanks and soldiers came down our street. I was about three years old.
Everyone came out of their houses, waving and so happy.
My firend and I say on the back of the tanks.
And we were given free ice cream from a man on a bicycle, that had an ice-cream tin on the front of the handle-bars
It was a very happy day.
