I remember the time the first sirens went off. I was doing some shoppping for my Mum. I ran all the way home because I was so frightened. I was only 10 years old. The very next day I went to school and got a form to be an evacuee to go away from the was as the bombs started to drop that night outside our street and Scibbons cake factory got it.
