Remember, remember the third of September,
Umbrella, Swastika and sickle.
For that bit of daring, old Hitler is swearing,
he's got himself into a pickle.

My mother, Jean, wrote this when she was still at school in the early forties. The umbrella represents Churchill, the swastika the Germans, and the sickle the Russians.
