I was sent overseas after the D-day landings as part of the reinforcements. Eventualy I arrived in Germany and was given the job of guarding the captured members of the SS. Two names I remember was Irma Greez. She ws infamous for making lampshades from human and animal skins and a Dr Kaemler. I was on duty the day they were hanged.
Also one of my duties was to guard the caravan where Monty had signed the peace pact.
