Perhaps the nicest of all memories was when someone rushed to our house one Sunday afternoon and told us that there was an ‘Okey man’ in the street, I think it was Wall’s “Stop Me & Buy one” blue tricycle. Something I had not tasted before and did not know what it was, we went into the street and joined the queue, it was delicious and the best Ice Cream I have ever tasted. It was a long time before I had another one.
