This story has been written onto the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ People’s War site by CSV Story gatherer Jessica on behalf of Derek Woodward. They fully understand the terms and conditions of the site.
Buckfast Abbey Car Park became a saw mill for pit props. Pales or off cuts were free to take away like the rock size coke next door at the Gasworks available on payment of a token sum. I remember the manageress drove a BSA Sports car!
