I was in an air raid shelter when my labour started, The baby's head was delievered before dad managed to carry me into the house where the Dr & Nurse had arrived and baby Ingrid Margaret was born!
During the pregnancy I remember having a longing for oranges which we couldn't get. Children were allowed one per week.
