This is a picture of a street party held to celebrate the end of WW2. My dad is holding me in his arms, my mum is a little further round the table, 4th from right. I can remember a few of the people there - my parents told me their names - Nurse Sunderland second from right, her children Roberta, another boy Bruce - badly burned. Betty and Edward Page - our neighbours.
The party was held in Old Marston Lane, Hatton, Tutbury, opposite the Nestle's factory.
