My wedding was a WRNS wedding. I got married at Channing School in Highgate which was the Wrennery. There were quite a lot of us WRNS living there. My cabin mate made my wedding dress and headress - we got the material on our pyjama coupons - we needed 2 people's coupons to get enough yards. I remember after the wedding ceremony when I came out of the church ther was a WRNS Guard of Honour waiting for me. I didn't know about it - it was a big surprise. It made me feel very proud to be in the WRNS. My Mum couldn't believe it.
