Beore the war, I was at junior school. However, once the war started, I could no longer attend school. Instead, I was to go to people's housess every morning to be taught. At some houses, we were spoilt with tea and cakes, whereas at others, you were made to just sit there and learn. Some houses had dogs that would jump up at you, and other houses smelt! This only lasted for around 6 to 8 months, and then we could return to school.
