This picture was brought into the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Open Centre in Hull by Peter's sister Betty Davy and was added to Peoples War with her kind permission by Olivia Cubberley.

Peter served in the Lincolnshire Regiment overseas during the war. Whilst he was away in Italy, his daughter, Jeanette Williams was born in her grandma's front room in Blake Street, Hull. She didn't meet her dad until he returned to Hull.
