I think the first bombs that dropped in Luton were on Vauxhall Motors on Friday. My Husband saw a German bomber come over the railway, he said he could see the pilot they were flying so low, they dropped a string of bombs. We didn’t know what war was all about but if I remember rightly they were the first bombs over Luton.
