My grandmother was in the middle of cooking a rabbit pie as my uncle was due home on leave, but a bomb fell in the entry so they evacuated the house. But as my uncle was due, grandmother walked all the way from Bootle to my house in Huyton. A long way, carrying the half cooked rabbit pie. She was determined my uncle would have it.
