during bombing at the blitz;my mum was carrying me in her arms down to the air raidshelter.a woman approached my mum to carry me to it.;as my older brother and sisters ;were with us .my mum said no!/as shegot to the air raid shelter carrying me ;and my brother and sisters [3]with us .she my mum turned round ;to see where the woman whop asked her was.it got a direct hit at the front of our tenement /the above a window part and a windowsill .fell ontop of the woman.had she been carrying me ;i would not be here today ;approaching my 66 birthday in november this year.[my dad was away on the whole of the burma campaign]
